i just installed a show off3 body kit on my 2002 grand am. the body lines dont exactly mach up to the fender lines so im thinking of fiber glassing them together. how do i go about getting the f/g to hold on the metal fenders. i have used f/g before. i did a couple of speaker boxes a year or to ago and i was wounder if my supplies are good or do i need to buy new stuff. i dont have any pics of the bumpers down loaded yet (i lost my usb cord) when i get a new one i will post pics to show what lines im talking about

One fist like a rock, the other made of steel. If the first one dont hit you the right one will!
One recommendation is to drill small spot holes for the resin to go through on the BARE metal surface with sealer. Then hit the metal with 4 grit sandpaper ensuring that all needed monding areas are well etched/scratched. From there, add your parts. on the back side of the fenders, the same thing. sand with 40 grit around the holes and apply resing to the backside as well to give the part some inside fender hold as well.
Another one is to use bolts embedded into the glassing to hold and lock the pieces to the fender and glass over them.

If you sand the fenders down to bare metel and use a little bondo then dynaglass over that and fiberglass and dynaglass again. I talked to the fiberglass company i go thru before i found this site. they give me great info. they are located in texas, Production Pronto. great company Becky there wont steer you wrong. try that and let me know, if i can help more.
