I searched this topic, but could not find any previous posts relating to my specific models.

I am installing this in a 2003 Chevrolet Express G3500. I installed the head unit (IDA-X303) along with the Alpine Sirius interface and the KBT-400BT Bluetooth adapter. I am using an iPhone 3G, which all spec sheets from Alpine say is compatible with what I am installing.

Per the instructions, I have the Interrupt on the head unit set to off. I have the iPhone hooked up through the USB port and adapter on the back of the head unit. When my phone rings, the stereo mutes until the call is finished. But, I can not get the bluetooth to connect. I have BT IN set to Adapter. On the bluetooth unit, I run the bus cable from the module to the head unit, I have the mic installed, etc.

On the menu, the only thing I can get in the BT menu is Off or Adapter. No pairing option or anything. My phone is seeing the module, but they are not connecting. The only thing I may have possibly done wrong is plug in the interrupt wire from the module to the head unit. I can not even see what firmware version I am running.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I bought this setup mainly for the bluetooth capability and ability to interface with the iPhone, but this is frustrating the heck out of me.

Thanks in advance.

You can't have it plugged into the unit AND have bluetooth connected.

Even with it unhooked, it isn't working. Can't get the menu to give me anything except BT IN.

I am to understand that the phone should be plugged into the BT unit, and not the deck. It should also

be able to read your music and such, connected like that! ..... I think?

I sent a link of this to Jessie at ANW, as well as the rep.

I have the high speed cable from the BT unit to the phone, and I thought the same thing. I may have to use that as aux in. I don't know. The Bluetooth instruction book sucks.

Thanks Gary!

Issue resolved.

After rebooting my phone, I noted it would not find the KBT-400BT unit. So I checked the power plug and noticed I was not getting B+ power at the BT unit. Thought it was a blown fuse, but had power on each side of the fuse. Replaced the inline fuse holder and everything is working as it should.

Thanks for the suggestions. Wouldn't expect a bad fuse holder on a brand new unit.
