Hello all! I have installed (for quite sometime) a BT200 Bluetooth for my Iphone and my wifes android, in her car, the head unit is a AVIC D2. every once and awhile for a period of 4-6 months, the person calling the "car" get a VERY loud engine noise in the callers phone and sounds like the driver sound like they are in a cave. on the other hand the driver can hear the caller perfectly fine though the cars speakers. any hint on why this is happening? it does it on both phones and some time it just works well. then the next day it might not. also when you stream music from the device through the car speakers it sounds fine.

ANY HELP?

thanks

I doubt if it's your car if you can't hear it, could be a glitch of the cellular system or the actual Bluetooth kit, I suspect the latter.
Try contacting Pioneer Tech. or swapping out the B/tooth part.

-------------
Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Inspect every inch of your microphone cable.  Also check the socket on the BT200, as well as the plug at the end of the microphone cable.  Use the device while wiggling the plug.  You are looking for pinched or violated insulation on the cable.

I accually found the problem last week.

I completely uninstalled the WHOLE system, the NAV and all, checked every connection, splice, gound etc...

I found where the installer grounded EVERYthing to same point int he car, bypass and all. I re-connected all the harnerss made sure everything was tight and tightly grounded.  the mic wire was Crushed, not pinched in one location. I moved and rerouted to a safer location and it seemed to cure the problem.

Thanks for the help!
