I guess this is the best place to post something like this though I do apologise if it is in the wrong section.
I did a search but didn't find anything on here which kind of surprised me as it sounds like everyone is installing android devices in their vehicles.
Anyway I just picked myself up a 7"tablet primarily for my off road navigation but will end up my complete head unit as I learn more, was wondering what people have found are the must have apps and the ones they have found less useful.
Also any tips you could give for installation would be great.

So far I have found an OTG usb cable is required to connect stuff to the device (cameras, usb, card reader) and an amp is required to play audio through the vehicles speakers other than that I am still in discovery mode.

Hi,
I'm trying to do the same thing. I have a 4 channel amp and a mono sub amp that I want to wire to the Tablet. How can we do this from just the headphone jack. Won't that sound like doodie? Do we need some kind of sound processor or crossover to plug the headphone jack into. Then with RCA's connect to amp's. I'm just not sure how this works. If you have any info that would great, maybe we can help each other since nobody else seems to be doing this.
