bought a cell phone hands free kit and would like to hook up stereo mute is there a way to do this on a 2003 G35 w/ stock clarion deck

I too have a G35 and would like to know how to have the stereo mute when I receive a call on my handsfree kit....I also have the stock bose HU with Navi. There has to be a way since the Navi can mute the stereo to give directions. Scott

Ok I did some research, G35driver.com, you can do this if you have nav, otherwise no one knows, also the kit is aftermarket.

So if the kit is aftermarket it should have a MUTE wire. If it does wire a relay to interrupt the switched 12v going to the radio.

Once again is your HF kit aftermarket? If it is use the prescribed method above. If not.... dont know.
