Hello all,

Just a quick introduction, my name's Andy and I am a UK based installation engineer installing Telematics/Security/Navigation and Hands free kits.

Just found this site and it looks top.

I hope the moderators don't mind me mentioning the fact that I run a similar site in the UK called IFitStuff.com.

It is aimed at self-employed cellular engineers in the UK.

I hope I can provide some useful info for guys doing cellular installations.

Regards

Welcome aboard Andy, it's good to see other member's here from around the globe willing to help other installer's. Hope to see you more on these boards.

Thanks Velocity,

Doesn't seem to be many discussions on Cellular hands free kits on here?

Is it mainly alarms you guys talk about?

I'm after the Avantguard 5 for my new van, anyone know a good supplier?

Welcome dude. Good to see that you are doing a good job for those that need help a little closer to home. Not a ton of talk about cellular phones here, they are pretty straight forward for most of us. There is however a ton of action in the car audio and security forums. Spend some time and do some reading. I would post the question on your alarm quest in the security forum and see if one of the regulars can point you in the right direction. Might just have to register on your site to add some insight for those that may need it. On it now, looks kinda neat, love the mod sig's. Everyone is so stiff (haha) and proper and use their real names.

Rob, there is a good reason why everyone uses their real names,

The ifitstuff.com site is used by a lot of sub-contracting engineers, or subbies. They get a lot of work from the site passed on by companies or individuals who can't cover it.

There is a section called 'Vehicles' that is hidden unless you are a reccomended engineer in the industry.

This is why everyone has to use their real names, otherwise, they can't get engineer status!!
