The pros of going bluetooth are that a) You do not need to place the phone in and out of a cradle/plug every time you go handsfree which greatly reduces any fault due to wear and tear of the cradle/phone connection and that b) Alot of phones now support bluetooth which allows more flexibility when choosing to change phone models giving that as long as you stay with bluetooth capable phones you will not have to change kits.

The cons of going buetooth is that you do not have the advantages of charging the device or using an external antenna without hardwiring via a cradle/antenna coupler system.

If charging capabilities or utilising an external antenna are of no concern to you then I would consider the flexibility of going bluetooth otherwise I would definitely go hardwired.
