Is it possible to use OnStar's muting trigger to mute for my hands free kit that I am trying to install, therefore bypassing the need to find/create trigger at the radio?

I have been able to mute some onstar vehicles and some I havent been able to...I dont know what the reason is ....but I just use the gmc/chevy harness that integrates into the stereo which gives you your radio mute function and sound through the stereo system.

I found that using SoundGates GMCell harness it was very simple to connect the mute feature.  The mute on the HF850 goes to ground and that is what the Bose radio is set for.  You just connect the mute lead on the GMCell harness to the mute (orange) lead on the HF850 harness and you're good to go!
