If anyone is looking for this mute wire it's a yellow/black behiind the radio in a black eight pin plug, pin number 3. A negative interupt will mute the radio.

Yup..mercedes for the most part always uses ylw/blk for its mute wire. Thanks for the post.

what about the mercedes that only have 2 orange fiber optic cabls and the small black 3 pin plug. I think 2 of the colors are a Thick (16gauge) red with blue stripe and Brown (ground) the 3rd wire is smaller gauge and varries in color. Does anyone know were to get the mute?

hi,

at the amplifier perhaps....found it on a newer Eclass there. still yellow /black if my memory hasn't failed
