I want to hard wire in my Motorola Car Charger. I have taken it apart since the pressure contact broke off. Inside it has a circuit board. I am not sure if it is dropping the voltage or anything, but if I can I want to cut the casing out and go with a hardwired install.

Anyone know of away to test the voltage coming out of the charger? It is a small connector and I was thinking of using a paper clip to probe the inner lead, would this work?
