I own a 2004 Outlander that has the infinity stereo system. I just bought the CK3100 and was going to install it on my own.. well after looking into it, its not as easy as most other things I have done. I know I have to splice into the stereo system and add some relays for the mute. Has anyone done this install? Can anyone give me some much needed insight on this project before I go back to my headset :V: I really dont wanna. any help would be much appreciated.

The Parrot device is good, but the manual isn't.  There are quite a few typos in it.  Anyhow, you need to gain access to speaker wires.  If the system has an amplifier, you need to find it, and splice the device in there.  If it does not have an amp, go behind the head unit and splice in the device there.  The plugs that parrot uses are mainly for german headunits (VW AUDI BMW Etc.), so you will have to cut them.  The "male" plug is audio in.  The "female" plug is audio out.  As far as the "mute" wire, that is mainly for head units with a mute input.  Power switched and ground can be found that the head unit.  Use a multi-meter to for them.
