Hey folks,
I just installed a Cobra 75WXST (The all-in-the-mic units) into my '04 Mustang, and picked up one of those base loaded glass-mount cell lookalikes for the rear window and all, and I'm getting interference (significant) when any motor-driven aparatus runs on the car. It's not alternator noise, and I've already installed a line choke and tested that, with little to no effect. I figured that I'd drop a line here and see if anyone had any sugggestions.

FYI:  The CB's running off its own chassis ground, switched + off the fuse panel (and I've already swapped it once to no effect), and I've tuned the SWR on the antenna.

(BTW -- I know the antenna's crap, I have a Wilson500 that i just didn't want to install on the car at this time)

TIA!

fuse boxes, ignition wiring are noisy. keep your wiring away from them. run your power wires to the battery.

just a heads up, those glassmounts are pure garbage, youre better off with a mag mount.
