I am installing a rechargeable flashlight in my F-250 and need to know if there is a way to come out of the fuse box left of the steering column? the fuse box swings out and makes itself available but I see no way to use and empty slot. Anybody have any info? I don't want to tap onto another wire. Thanks for any ideas.

hi,

there are several open terminals on the rear (connector side) of the fuse box. quarter inch female tab crimp connectors will fit on these.  the terminals connect internally to several of the box style fuses on the left of the fusebox. insert a fuse in one of the open spots in the front, and meter or test probe the terminals on the rear, then remove the fuse to determine if you'd located the proper terminal/fuse combo.....or use a tab terminal and fuse holder and insert into an open spot where the box style fuses are.

hope this helps

Grab your power from the ignition harness and use an inline fuse,the12volt should cover your vehicle in the vehicle wiring database,
