This is a 2001 model with voice activation, navigation and hands free, does anyone know of a way to use the hands free with any after market car kit ? I believe the jaguar fitted kit is for a Startac

Thank you in advance

You can use the the timeport phone that came in that model year with the aftermarket motorola h/f kits. Cant remember what the model is though. its been a long time since i have dealt with that old system.

I know on the XJ series there was no way to Interface with the system so I guess this is the same

I think I misundestood your question......you cannot use an aftermarket car kit with the factory functions in jags,bmw,volvo.mzb's. But you can take the factory phone itself and use it with an aftermarket car kit.

I recently found a web site that has some upgrade adapters for BMW, Audi, MB, Rover, and Jaguar.Zthis will allow you to change phone models and use the factory system. Check it out.
