I'm picking up a lot of noise from the fuel pump, it's a distinct whine being picked up from the antenna and definitely coming from the fuel pump.  I've tried various things but only slightly reduced the whine.

I figure the only way i'm gonna get rid of the whine is to solder 1 or 2 capacitators across the fuel pump motor.

Question-  What size capacitator ?

Thanks

Have you tried to relocate your grounding plane for the existing coaxial wire going to the antenna(s) ?

Yes I have. I have located the antenna in various spots on the truck including on the front bumper, and rerouted the coax different ways. I even tried different antennas such as the wilson, k40, and a firestik no ground plane type. Th e whine is being picked by the antenna, if I remove the antenna from it's base the whine goes away.

The fuel pump/tank is located forward of the rear wheels under rear seat.  Luckily access to the pump is realtively easy by removing and access panel on the floor under the rear seat.

Thanks, Gene

also, I wrapped the fuel pump power leads around a  couple ferrite chokes. The whine got slightly lower where the CB's audio is good enough to listen to but it's still extremely annoying.
