According to Alpine I can hook up my phone to my deck (i.e cell mute) with  some junction box.  I'm guessing that nokia sells.  I cant' find anymore info anywhere on this.  Any ideas

If the deck has a wire that is labeled Cell Mute the it is to be used with a hands free kit.  Most hands free kits supply a ground when the phone is active and you should hook the hands free kit mute wire to the wire at the deck.

I have the 7897 in my car and if im not mistaken the cable is a direct order from Alpine.  I got my deck in Dec 02 and they said it would be out in the first part of this year.  I gave my Nok. to my girl so I have no use for it , but Ill ask the dudes @ the shop next time I see em (If I can remember ;) ).  Alpine is the maker though - pretty sure on that.

You can connect the CXA-B200NK with a Nokia 6310i phone to compatible Ai-NET head units allowing control of a multitde of interactive phone functions such as hands free, answering, dailing from an address bok, and speed dailing by using the buttons directly on the head unit (CDA-7998, CDA-7897 and IVA-D900). Voice will come out though the system speakers and will be clearer and more detailed than via a small additional hands-free speaker kit.
