I have an Alpine IVA-W205 head unit with the KCE-300BT Bluetooth adaptor. This adaptor also has the direct iPod cable. Everthing worked ok until I tried the BT feature (AT&T 8252 Phone).

I activate BT adaptor on head unit. Phone displays message "do you want to connect...", "enter password" I enter 0000. The phone connects, but  only for a few seconds. BT disconnects and iPod is no longer recognized. The display shows iPod error 01.

When I power off and then on, iPod works again until I try to connect to BT again.

Help appreciated...

Bart

My Alpine rep tells me  (I had the same problem) to cycle the ign switch 2x's. This "boots up" the BT300. This solve MY problem, hope it helps with yours.

Bingo. I had a similar thing to day in a Mini. The customer was getting the X001 or whatever in the Cooper and wanted to use the USB/iPod as standard and use another iPod inserires with the KCE300bt. It took a few times to get everything working correctly.
