I am attempting to locate a list of all the tell-tales in the instrument cluser on a 2001 Vitara 2dr soft-top.  I have fog-lights (front and one rear) and driving-lights installed and would like to wire them to activate lights in the dashboard instrument panel such that it will look like OEM and/or factory.  Does anyone know of a way to make this happen or a list of what lights are hidden without removing the instrument panel?  I'd like to have a plan prior to removing anything.

Two ideas:

1. The owner's manual probably has a little pictogram of all the possible warning lights. Then, for example, if your car doesn't have 4-wheel drive, ABS, or things like that, you could probably assume that you can use those locations for your own purposes.

2. When it's dark, if you shine a strong flashlight at the cluster, you can often see outlines of all the little symbols.

Thank you!  Do you know where I can find the wires that plug into the sockets behind the instrument cluster?posted_image

I was able to find an entire line of unused openings, found the fog light (which I just need to plug in a wire) - would prefer to use the same plug that works on the socket than to make my own...

The others I would use the same plug or make my own, and simply cut out the outlines of what I want displayed...
