I have a 04 Expedition XLT and a HID light kit from one of my older cars that I would like to install in the XLT.

I noticed it has a connector for all lights in one connector.   I Do they have any adapters for this connector? I wouldnt want to puncture holes in the rubber covers behind the lights as far as possible.

Would appreciate if anyone has done this or has an alternative advice to use my existing HID kit.

Thanks

Mark

The only thing that would be different kit to kit, is the bulb. If the bulb does not fit the headlight.... not good, and no "adapters".

If your old rig, and the new rig are the same bulb, hard wire them in. You don't want to do the easy plug and play method of installation.

correct, PnP kits are a PITA use a relay and the neg trigger of headlights to trigger them

Thanks for the info Kar TuneMan.   I did not read the forums for the past two weeks or so, but solved the problem anyway.   The low beam lights and high beam lights are same as in my older car from where I removed the HID kit before selling the car. Therefore, I just rewired the Expedition with no splices or any relays, just PnP but had to drill holes to get the plug go directly to the bulb. Works like a charm. I can see much more clearly now than with the stock lights. I hope some day the government makes it a "standard" on all cars to have HID lights because it helps see so much clearer at night and could prevent accidents that happen due to poor vision at night.   I took pictures of before/after which I might post here if I get time, for other people to see.   Thanks.
