Hi guys.

I recently purchased some leds for my door handles and the install instructions basically tell me to connect them to my dome light, so this means they will only come on when I unlock the car. What I want to do is for the door leds to flash with my head lights when I arm or disarm my alarm and also for them to come on when the car is parked and running. Any ideas as to how I could do this?

I own a 2006 Chevy Impala LTZ.

either hook them up to the parking lights or the head light wire.
prob find it at the headlight switch just test the wire

Yeah but if I connect them to my parking lights, won't the lights always be on when it's night time?

he does have a point. the impala has domelight supervision so yes the best way is to tap into the domelight wire itself. heres wiring info

if you bought th ekit from street glow save your money they will work long enough to look good then you will be replacing them constantly. I bought some off of Ebay once that were Street glow. they worked for a week then died. when i called them to ge tit replaced they did three times total.

I finally threw them away and made my own under handel lights with some L.E.D.'s and a few small holes in teh back fo the door handels .

look great!! have been workign for almost two years and never a lick of problems out of them and mine come on and go off with the alarm set dome light but this is hooked in to the dome light on my car as mine comes on when you unlock the car anyway and also when you arm the alarm it will flash but then go off shortly after this. So they work out good.

If you want them to flash with the runnign lights you would have to find a away to hook them in to that alarm side so that it will flash when it triggers the lights not the lights them selves.

Yes you can just tap it into the parkinglights.....they will stay on all the time when the parklights are on at night. All you have to do to fix that problem is put an on/off switch on them then you will be able to turn them off when you want to!!!!!

Is your alarm after market of factory? If its after market diode a wire off of the parking light out put to a relay for the leds. if it is factory a toggle would have to do.
