Hey Everyone, I've been trying to find a forum to ask questions about hid's and this is by far the best one I've found. I'm trying to find a quality kit that I can install with very little modifications. I don't know what brands are of high quality today and which ones to stay away from. I installed a Catz HID kit with the high/low beam in my 1997 Grand Prix years ago and at the time everyone I talked to said they were good. What is good today? I want to stick with the purest white light I can get. If I remember correctly I think that is around 4300 degrees Kelvin. Do they have a high/low beam kit for the 9007 bulb or is it just one lighting option? I heard that the quality of the bulb is what really makes the difference in these kits. I guess I just need to know what the best brands are. Can I get a quality kit for under $300? Any help that you can give me in making my decision would be great as I'm new to this topic. Every kit is made in China or Taiwan now a days. We get our kits directly from China and they have proven to be very good quality and also we sell the 6000K lights because it's the most intense as far as light intensity goes.

So pretty much any kit made in China is gonna be good? Does the 6000 kit give off a little blueish tint? After I get a kit for my truck I'll probably buy one for my hayabusa. ------------- __________________

6000 does have a slight blue tint, very little and hard to see. usaully if you want alot of blue but still white then 8k is the way to go. i prefer 5 or 6k

I just put in a 6000k hi/lo kit from SharpHID.com, looks great, lifetime warranty and under $300 by a few bucks, worth checking them out. I have 9004 in my Impala, their 9004 and 9007 kit are the same thing. I guess depending on your state inspection, I wouldn't bother doing a hi/lo unless you need it to pass cause it doesn't change wattage, the bulb just moves forward. 5000k might be a little closer to "pure" white, I think 4300 has a little bit of yellow in it and 6000 starts to get blue. try mobilehid he has great customer service and if you have the dual filament type bulbs his HID kits usually have a halogen high beam. it's pretty worthless because it's dimmer than the low beam, but you don't really need the highs once you have HID lows -------------

almost forgot, his kits come with relay harnesses so you're drawing power straight from the battery, not the stock wiring.

350 inch, Did your bulbs in the 9007 kit plug and play? I've heard some stories where the user had to modify the housing to get it to fit properly. I'm leaning towards getting my hids from the site you posted. Thanks ------------- __________________
