I wanted to make a Small security setup for my tool box..

Nothing insane, i was thinking about using 2 Mecury switches have one one way, and one another way, so when the lid is closed the LED will flash, and if you open it, the led stops flashing, but a siren goes off.. like a small alarm from radioshack...

Im just not sure how i can make an LED flash, Or have a siren make noise.... i can only make a siren stay on, like no siren noise, just a constant eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I have done it before messing around with people. Just use a hoodpin switch in line with either of the wires for the siren, and run them directly to a drill battery. This really only worked, however, because the guys box that we did it too was a snap on box that had the opening top, which had to be open in order to open the drawers. So as soon as he wanted to get in to his box, he had to open that top part, and the siren would go off.

We didnt get any further than that tho, no led or anything like that, we just wanted to mess with him really, but it worked.
