I need to add brake and tail lights to a cart at work can anyone explain to me how to do this?  I do not need turn signals and if it makes a difference the lights came off of a trailer and have both functions with 3 wires coming out of them.

This sounds pretty straight forward.  If you have three wires then one wire should be a common ground, one wire should be the brake light, and one should be the tail light.  The tail light wire would connected to the light switch and the brake wire would be connected to the brake switch.

That is what I thought I just wanted to be sure.  Thank you.
