I have checked the fuses and changed the bulbs, but still, the lights refuse to come on when in reverse. The weird thing is, the filiments in the old bulbs were still intact. Why don't the back-up lamps work?posted_image

You need to check to see if you have voltage at the bulb socket when in reverse, if so then check your ground connections, if not then I would look into locating the reverse light switch and jumping it out to see if the lights come on.

Have you done any work recently in any areas of the vehicle? if so check for wires you may have knocked loose.

Let me know how you make out and maybe I can help you some more.

I used a test probe and found current between the top of the fuse slots (in from ignition), but no current in any gears when bridging the fuse slots with the test probe. I did some hacking of the wires when installing the remote starter, and even pulled the brake light wire from the brake relay (mistake), and had to use some extra wire and force it into the slot to replace the wire (it's surprisingly sturdy and eerything works now.) But to my knowlege, the back up lights never did work. I just got the car last week. I think you are right about the neutral/park switch though. I'll have Mr. Kish from school look at it. He's gonna look at the fuel gauge anyway.
