I have a 1996 chevrolet tahoe having problems with the daytime running lamps, parking lights and night lights work fine. I changed the fuse under the hood also changed fuse #15 on the side of the dashboard also changed a relay above the brake pedal nothing what could it be help!!!!!

Do your DTRL's go off when you set the parking brake? If so, have you checked the brake switch?

well they used to but now I only see the daytime running lamp symbol, when I press the emergency pedal the symbol goes out of my dashboard but no drl goes on or off help

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

Found the problem, turned out to be a 2"x1-1/2" alum heat sink that is finned, located under the dash basicly behind the cig lighter, mounted to a long bar the goes across the tahoe., with a dark colored 2 wire plug, Everything works awsome now

hey tech is there a way to bypass the heat sink for my drl for example brigde the wires

not sure, you can go to a gm dealer and ask them to look up the part and then once you know what your looking for you can call auto salvage yards in your area and get a deal since you will know what the part is and what it would go for from the dealer.

hey tech man I went today to a chevrolet salvage yard and found it, the guy told me its yours for $50 thats crazy $$ is there any way I can bypass or a relay

the diode on my truck is not working dont know why? the fuses and relays work fine!! my question is I done a couple of researches online is it possible to replaced it with a resister instead of replacing the diode for my daytime running lights is for my chevrolet tahoe 1996 or can I just brigde it with a wire without replacing the diode any info is appreciated thanks 12volt fam.....
