I just purchased a 2000 Honda civic the other day. It had the dual halo rings on it, which i am somewhat familiar with as i had them on my dodge ram, but mine were CCFL (Flourescent). One of the four rings does not work and i have already checked the basic wiring for it... still nothing. Can anyone give me some ideas? is it really hard to replace them? or can small shops do it?
THanks!
You will need to remove the light assembly from the inside of the housing in order to fix the halo rings. Bake the light at 250 F in the oven to soften up the glue and gently pry the plastic shroud from the lens. This will allow you to access the halo light wiring to see if there's a cold solder of if the wiring is broken.

this wouldn't melt any other parts of the housing? and should it be burned out, etc., is it worth finding the parts to replace? or for $110 i could purchase a new set. Or what do you think it would cost for a small garage that specializes in customizing vehicles to do it for me? Replace the parts, that is. Please give me some ideas, it always seems that Murphy's law has its effect on me. Something always goes wrong.
Again, Thanks for the info so far, much more help than i ever expected.
