well basically it started out, i installed full body neon kit into my car a 99 dodge neon sport, with two tubes on each side of the car one on the rear end underneath and in the back window, got it working , switch hooked up, and loved it. After about a month with it installed, i was driving home and it was raining, and ran into and puddle that was collecting on the side of the road and when i drove through it, it ripped off my right side neon and when it did that it ripped the power distribution block out and pulled that out along with it. my problem now is finding one of those blocks without having to buy a whole new kit. also i was wondering how you guys run your wires, what i did is run it along the inside of the car under the kick panels and drilled a whole where needed and placed a rubber grommet in its place. I think that is pretty good and wont cause any trouble but do any of you place anything around your neon tubes like plexiglass box so that water wont effect the neon lights at all?
thanks in advance for any future help
James
P.S. is there any way to make my own distribution box, and would anyone have a diagram of all the components i would need
It sounds to me that the Distribution block you are referring to is the High Voltage Power Supply for the tube. I am afraid it will not be practical to build said power supply. It takes 12 volts and makes it into thousands of volts.
yeah i figured that was the case, but where could one get it without buying the whole kit again. ive looked but cant seem to find it. so i thought it may be possible to create one
