ok well i bout some 3 wire leds but i got no adaptor module and theres no way im gonna pay 65 bux when im pretty sure i can make them myself....well i used a 8 ohm 20 watt wirewound resistor to control the blinker speed, so thats taken care of, my issue is the fact that the led's are 3 wire and my truck (nissan hardbody) is a 4 wire...now ive tried relays but when i hit the turn signal it only flickers when the parking lights are on.let em tell u how i have my relays done....

relay #1

85 - blinker.......86 - ground.....87a - 12 volts.......30 - led

relay #2 (to isolate the brake wire, which for some reason the brake lead rest at 8.4 volts positive with the bulb out which causes a ground backfeed)

85 - brake.......86 - ground.........87 - 12 volts..........30 - led

now the led has 3 leads - main power(parking lights), second power(brake light), and ground....

my truck has 4 leads - parking lights, brake, blinker, and ground.....

i cant seem to wrap my head around adding another relay to interupt one of the powers to allow the blinker to work but at the same time keeping the parking lights and brakes working the same also...any info is greatly appreciated....thanx......albert

The two bulb (taillight and reverse) conversion is straight forward once you know what your working with. One of your three wires should be the ground, easy enough. One of those wires will be the tail (parking)lights, this one should be the dimmer of the two. The remaining one will cover your brake lights and turn signal. You have to diode isolate the brake from the turn signal.

I guess you could use a relay. If the turn signal has 12 when on, then you would go 86- turn signal, 85 ground, 30 brake light, and 87a LED. That way when the turn signal provides power it will break the connection of the brake light. However, you would also have to supply power to the brake light circuit for the light to be on.

I think it would be far simpler to put in diodes and let the turn signal ground out the brake light circuit.
