My grandfather asked me about using LEDs for flounder lights. To explain this, years ago when he floundering a lot, he rigged up a pair of halogen work lights to the front of his boat and powered them off a generator. I have a feeling that he is looking for a 12v alternative so he can carry a deep cycle battery instead of a generator.

So I am looking for LED modules that are water resistant, can shine through 5-6' of water and can be run 6-8 hours off a battery. Anyone know of such a light?

I'm open to all ideas. The cheaper the better, but I'd like a lot of lumens and 12v if possible.
