I have installed a rearview camera on my 2008 Honda Accord Coupe. It sits above my license plate. The problem is when my lights are on the license plate light washes out the image displayed on my screen. I would like to have the license plate light go out when I put the car in reverse. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

would be simple enough to just wire a N.C. (normally closed) relay inline with the existing license plate lite wiring. Then trigger the relay which would open the contacts with the reverse light wiring. Then when your reverse lights come on it would open the contacts turning off the plate lamps.
