i been looking thru topics trying to find some answers.... I want to put leds in my headlight and want then to look like my lights looks fully colored like this https://www.oznium.com/product_photos/large/555.jpg . I figured out how to make my head lights stay constantly lit up. But my question is...

How do i put them in?

how many do i need? i want them to be bright and look VERY noticable

any other things do i need?

In my 2000 f150 i have 4 red leds in each corner light in the front there very bright you can see the light on the ground in front of the truck i drilled holes in the housing the same size as the led then siliconed the tops been in for about 2 years now no leaks posted_image

i think i seen your truck sum where on the internet, isnt your truck red also?? and which resistors did u use?

it is red and you might have seen it on oznium.com where i bought the LEDs which the resistors came with them its been about 2 years since i put them in and i cant remember the value of them but if you buy from them you can get the correct value for the ones you buy i also put 6 leds in my stock headlight housings 3 on top 3 on bottom very bright i have since changed the housings to aftermarket

The most important thing to remember is that the headlight housings are completely sealed, so whatever you do when you are done you have to maintain that seal.

On some of the newer cars I've read that they dremal the lens off the base of the headlight, do the modifications, then seal the lens back on to the base. Again, the seal has to be perfect or the lens will get moisture in it.

The value of the resistor you use will be based on the LED you use. Once you find the foward current value of the LED you are using you can use the voltage of your vehicle (say 15v to be safe) and calculate the reistance using the forumla R=V/I

Light Of Victory LED store on ebay has some of the best deals on LEDs, and the LEDs are excellent.

they also include resistors for 12V, for whichever LED you buy.
