Hello I'm in a rut here. And I need your help.
I have a project I'm working on but I've hit a snag.
I have a STDP relay. A single filament bulb.
A positive wire and negative wire from my parking lights.
A positive and negative wire from after my signal flasher.
What I've done is I wired the positive parking light to #30 then #87a out to the bulb then to the parking light ground.
Then I wired the after flasher positive to #86 and the after flasher negative to #85.
So this is what I get.
I turn on my parking lights and the bulbs lights up. Perfect!
I hit the signal and the bulb flashes. Perfect!
Now I turn off the parking lights. I try to signal. Nothing happens.......
Is there a way to wire this up so I can still use my signals without having to turn on my parking lights? I really want to stay with a single filament bulb too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Below diagram refers to brake light wire. In your case that will be the parking light wire. Bulbs are also referred to as brake and blinkers. Just to double check. So this set up will allow me to use the blinkers if I have the parking lights off or on?
Because the way that I have it now only allows my blinkers to work if I have power to #30. Thanks

Yes it will do just as you need. If the parking lights are not on, power will be applied to 87 of the blinker relays. When the blinker blinks with no power on 87A it will get power to flash from 87. Parking lights on, it will turn the light off when it tries to blink. With no parking lights, there will be power on 87, thus allowing it to flash.

Thanks plenty, I will give it a try right now, I stayed up all night trying to figure this out, I'm so glad I found this forum!
I'll let you know how it works!
Oh another question, will this revert my blinking speed to "normal" I noticed that when I had it the way I did it originally it blinked fast.

You may have to get a solid state flasher. It may blink fast with the OEM flasher.

Yeah it does still flash fast though, is a solid state flasher available at regular autoparts stores?
Should they be 3 prong or 4 prong? My car is an Honda/Acura.

Hopefully they make a Solid State replacement for your flasher. You will have to find out if your flasher has 3 or 4 prongs.

I tried to look on google and ebay, but didn't have any luck.
Where can i find a solid state flashers?
Would these be the same as the "LED signal fix" flashers?
