Hey guys, i have a 2009 nissan versa S model. I want to install some fog lights ($20 from Walmart). I am new to doing electrical stuff with cars. Can anyone send me instructions on how to wire up my fogs? Any help is appreciated, thanks! Rahul

When do you want to be able to turn them on? Choices are, anytime= without even having the key in the ignition, Only when the key is in the on position, only when the parking lights are on, only when the headlights are on?

Did your lights come with relays, a harness, and switch? Is the switch lighted? Did the car have factory fogs? Need more info

There might be a legality problem with operating them unless your headlights are in the low-beam position. Whatever method you choose, it's basicly switch to relay to lights. The way you want it, ignition feed to illuminated (green) switch, feed to relay terminal 86, ground to 85, constant 12v+ from battery via a 10 amp fuse to 30 and feed the lights from 87, mouint relay near to battery. Legally, substitute, low beam headlight feed for ignition and let's hope you can't turn on your headlights without the ign ition, if you can, then from your switch's output go to a first relay, adjacent to the switch, take output to 30, ignition to 86, ground to 85 and output from 30 to the second relay. That makes you completely legal in most countries. Walmart Fog lights? Not quite the 100watt Cibie Oscars I had on my Capri 30+ years ago then? Frankly from the light output you'll probably get compared to the efficiency of modern headlight systems is it worth it?

Mr Idiot, 2 x 55 watts = 9amps, shoot you're right once you add relay and cable, 15 it is.

Hey guys, I would like to wire a set of fog lights and a bigger horn into my 2009 versa. I was wondering, as long as both accessories are fused (seperately), is it ok to wire both of them to the positive battery terminal? Is this safe? Thanks

Yes provided you fuse your power supplies within 4" (10cm) using waterproof fuseholders. The relays should be mounted vertically for drainage reasons, use a relay wiring base and either enclose in plastic bags and or spray with a water retarder.

take your fpg lights and mount them in,then you take the red wire run it to a power wire .you take the ground wire and run it to a two prone switch .one end in the switch and the other out to the body ground
