hello. i have a sound system. my headlights dim when the bass drops. if i get HID's, will they dim also? thank you.

I reckon there's a good chance the HIDs won't dim - they usually tolerate dips to 9V or less - ie - supply variation from 9V to 16V.
Their bulbs aren't connected/powered direct to +12V as halogen and other lights are/were.

i was going to say my dim stopped when i converted to hids, just make sure you have projector type headlights

where did you get your HID's? im looking for some that will last, also on a budget too :]. im planning to them on a 93 Camry. i believe the bulbs are 9006 type.

i got mine from xenith xenons with a slim digital ballast for 142 i think and their great units

does anyone know if HID's are legal in california? is 6k legal? im not sure :\?

anyone know any good brands without breaking the bank?

i have a 1993 camry and im afraid if i do install HID's im thinking the lens on my car will make the HID's all blurry :\. thanks,.

That's one reason it should be illegal. (Others may include self-levelers etc.)

It's the only reason I'd need NOT to fit them. Nor blue lights, etc.

If your lenses are not clear then they won't turn out good. You need to retrofit projectors in your headlamps in order for the HID's to work properly and NOT blind other drivers if you just stick HID bulbs into your stock sockets they will definatly be ilegal and you run the chance of causing an accident. There is alot of information on Hid Planet. A good set of projectors and bulbs will run a few hundred dollars but is worth the investment to do the job properly.
