I have a 1997 Acura CL 3.0
I just installed Hella HID bulbs and ballasts into TSX projectors that I retrofitted into my headlight in place of the lowbeams, and I have a harness for them as well.
The bulbs are plugged directly into the ballasts.
The ballasts are plugged directly into the harness.
The harness is connected directly to the battery, and it is also plugged into one of the stock lowbeam connectors to get the signal.
When I was driving without the HIDs on, my front left turn signal wouldn't work. I figured the bulb was burnt out.
Then I had my car running and the HID lights on when I was aiming them, and the HIDs went out, and my front left turn signal came on and stayed on like a normal light.
I turned the car off but left the lights on, and the HIDs came back on, and the blinker light went back out.
Driving home with the HIDs on, using my left turn signal (only the left) made both my HIDs blink like a turn signal, like I was flashing them on and off!
I also found that when I turn on my high beams, the lowbeams go off, which they didn't do with the halogens.
I tried disconnecting the harness and plugging directly into the OEM wiring. The passenger side worked like this, though it was dimmer than when connected through the harness.
The drivers side would not work at all.
So I left the passenger side plugged in to the OEM wiring, and the driver side plugged into the harness, and then tested the blinker. Only the left HID light would blink.
So, basically:
In no instance can I get my turn signal to work correctly.
Without being plugged into the harness, the drivers side lowbeam will not work.
With the headlights plugged into the harness, they flash as a blinker whenever I put on my left turn signal.
I'm not sure how this is even possible, let alone figure out how to fix it.
This is the best picture I could get of my relay with the camera on my phone. Hopefully it helps.

Thanks in advance for any help. I have searched here and could not find this problem.
I have not had any help on my car or HID retrofit forums.
I don't like to drive without using turn signals, so I am pretty much stuck at home until I get this figured out.
It sounds like a bad ground - the lights & indicators are probably sharing an ground which had gone bad.
Hmm. My low beams are connected to the harness, which is grounded to the negative battery terminal as per the instructions that came with it. The signals should be grounded however they are normally. So I don't think they are sharing a ground, and the low beams and signals were working normally before I switched from halogen to HID.
I appreciate your response! This is driving me nuts. I will check all my grounds when the sun comes up.
