Illegal (I should think).
And I would argue highly NOT recommended.
If you strobed me, I'd be likely to react in a very aggressive manner.
And I do not "suffer" from strobes as some do.

I installed it yesterday, but I think I got the wiring mixed up. I wanted the strobe light to ONLY come one when I reverse. When I installed it, the strobe light didn't turn on until I turned my headlights on and the strobe stayed on. Thanks for the website but I didn't find anything on that website to help out. Do you know what I'm wiring wrong? Thanks

Well it sounds like you connected then to the wrong wires (headlight circuit) , you need to find the reverse light wires, what kind of vehicle is it? ------------- **ADVANCED MECP CERTIFIED

I have a '99 civic hatchback DX. I connected the power supply to the black and red wires in the tail lights. The kit I got was from Ebay. (Yes, I know, it's cheap)

The color wires that powers the reverse light is green and black. should I run the power supply supply from the strobe directly to the car battery with a resistor (If so, what kind and amp), and the ground wires to the black wires in the back? Thank you for your assistance.

Resistor? Car battery? Don't you want it to come on with reverse, you've already deciphered the colour, so connect the positive lead of the strobe to the GREEN/ back and ground the other lead and you're set! ------------- COMMIT YOUR WAY TO JEHOVAH AND HE WILL ACT IN YOUR BEHALF.

Thanks T&T for your helpful advice. The two wires that powers the reverse lights are green and black. I'm guessing green would be power and black would be ground. I am ggoing to try your advice and hoping that it will end my search for Q&A. I will kepp ya'll posted but please don't stop more helpful advices because after searching and searching, there are some people that connect their strobe light power supply directly to the car battery and ground the ground wire to the chasis. So more advices is greatly appreciated and thank you 12volts members!

Oh green and black! I just re-read, well if these are the two wires entering the socket at the reverse bulb, then yes, green will be power and black will be ground!
