Hi;
My wife has a 2008 Elantra that I would like to put HID in. Looking on ebay, it seems most of them are for low beams only. How do you get high beams? Do you wire in the HID in addition to the normal factory bulb? Also, How do you adjust the alignment of the HID? What is a good mfr website for HID for a 2008 Elantra? I really want a decent system that is not butchered.

I use HIDgate on eBay, I think most of his kits are high/low kits now. All though, the high beams will always be dimmer than the lows. The proper way would be to retrofit some projectors from something like an Acura TSX. That way, you have proper cut off and no glare.

Because HIDs do not like being switch off & on, they are usually dedicated beams - eg, outer low beams are always on.
But as DetroitStyle suggested, eBay's HIDgate offers "H4 9004 & 9007 Bi-Xenon, MOVING-XENON BULBS" - a single bulb that is moved.

Bi Xenon bulbs do not move, there are two ways of making them work. Both of which involve the way a projector works and both are the same way with different locations. One way and the main way, the shield in the projector that blocks light from going through the lens from the bottom of the reflector is moved down. Allowing more of the blocked light out. The other is, they moved the shield onto the bulb, and it again moves to allow more light on reflect off the bottom of the housing.
High/low kits have two bulbs in one. You have your Xenon as the main bulb then, you will have a small halogen attached to the end. That will serve as your high beam. When you look at the bulb itself, you notice its really one bulb made to serve as two. That is way your high beams on a High/low kit are not really useful.

LOL! I was regurging HIDgate's "...moving the light source..." for the abovementioned Bi-Xenons and not elaborating.
Also I concentrated on what might be an expectation that HID hi/lows are similar to conventional hi/lows. But they aren't. And where they are, they probably use a QH for the hi-beam.
The simplest explanation IMO is the avoidance of on-offs etc.
(I'd probably imitate my QH PWM pre- or on-heat depending on the Xenons used.)
