Hi All,

First post on here! I have a Vauxhall Corsa B (1999)...

Would like some input on my next electical project, door courtesy lights. Already installed footwell lights (well, passenger side, waiting for driver side to arrive!) so the door courtesy lights shouldnt be too hard to do.

This is my original proposed plan:

That way the door courtesy lights will come on at the same time as the centre/footwell lights. The alarm is wired in to the negative trigger (to sense when the doors are opened), but it is designed to ignore the doors if they are left open (the light delay will simulate the doors being opened).

Now I would like to be able to use the CH2 Negative Output on my alarm (see wiring below, wire C2-4) to be able to remotely turn all courtesy lights on. How would I go about doing this? This output was originally intended to be used for a boot popper.

The alarm is already fitted and fully functional.

Normally the Light Delay is wired in series with the light & switch - not parallel (to the switch) as you have shown it.

What sort of delay circuit are you using, or how are you triggering it?
Else recheck its required wiring.

The delay circuit is a cheap universal one i picked up from ebay, and looks like this:

I didnt get any instructions from it, but was advised that that was how it was fitted by a user of another forum. Have I fitted it incorrectly?
