I have a custom/hotrod 1950 chevy pickup. I will tell you how everything is wired then ask my question.
The front and rear park/turn/brake signals (besides the xtreme light bar) are ALL LEDs. The light bar has scanning turn signals, microprocesser controlled (i believe)
All of those lights function properly, turning on and off when desired. I have electronic flashers installed so no resistors are in line.
All of the light circuits are grounded directly to the battery to ensure a good ground.
The problem is that the XTREME light bar will work correctly sometimes, and not at other times. For example, when I turn the ignition key on, the brake lights on the light bar will illuminate. Sometimes they stay on even after the ignition key is turned off. Other times, when i turn the key on and start the vehicle everything will remain off until I turn on the park light, turn signal and so on. But once I do turn them on, when I try to turn it off they remain on. Sometimes the turn signals will function properly, sometimes all amber lights will come on and stay on, sometimes they will not come on at all.
The other lights, besides the tailgate bar all function properly so I know it is receiving the correct voltage/power.
One thing that I have noticed is that if I disconnect all the wires, (with the vehicle running or key on) the re-attach them by doing the ground first, then 12v constant power, next park, turnsignals and reverse. Everything seems to work correctly. The 12V power I have to it is a CONSTANT 12V and NOT ignition 12V.

Will putting a relay on the park, turn, and brake wires so the connection is broken when 12v ignition wire powers off take care of it?

You should reconnect and check if you find any roblem then consult your near LED tail lights store.

Try reconnecting to IGN +12V.
It may be that switching IGN on glitches the LEDs (uPC etc). Plus - do you really want the uPC circuitry powered all the time?
