I have a problem...

First off, the make of my vehicle is a 1996 Jeep Cherokee(not grand cherokee). I recently bought a pair of driving lights for it, long story short..they worked at first, then only after a couple of times using them they went out. I checked the power and grounding and what not, but still could not get them to work, every time I mess with the whole thing the illuminated 3 prong, 2 way toggle switch will light up and so will the lights(but very barley), then all will go off and will blow 15 amp fuse...Keep in mind I have NO relay wired up to all of this, but only as the instructions did not ask for a relay. So I was wondering if any body had a simple CORRECT wiring diagram(pair of 55 watt PL-1018C lights) for how this should be properly done.

Thank You for any and all Help and Advice.

Where are you getting power and ground? Is the the switch rated for at least 10 amps? How are the connections made? Soldered, crimped, etc?

You should install the lights with a relay. Use the following diagram:
