Car:  09 Chevy Cobalt

Remote Start:  APS687

Bypass:  DB-ALL

Problem:  The DB-ALL will not program to the car.  I do not have the flashing module to update the firmware and the manual says I need the GM5 firmware.  I double and triple checked all of my connections and everything is wired as per the DB-ALL manual.  I have done these cars before but I have used a DLPK for the last few and now the DLPK has been discontinued.

My question:  Should the DB-ALL have the GM5 firmware right out of the box or does it have to be flashed?  The distributor that I buy my equipment from did not think it should have to be flashed but he wasn't positive.  I of course went for it without flashing the module first.

Has this been covered somewhere else in the forum?

To answer my original question regarding the DB-ALL...

I just wanted to communicate this to those of you that have not yet used the DB-ALL.  You must have the XK-LOADER2 and flash the DB-ALL with the correct firmware for the car you will be using it in.  The DB-ALL comes out of the box preloaded with one version of Chrysler firmware.
