I just replaced the factory radio with an aftermarket unit, and now the dash lights, right taillight and right parking lights don't work. There is an orange wire in the Jeep harness that went to the radio, & when I supply power to it the problem lights come on, but they're not switched. This sounds like the same problem "notenoughdbs" posted on 10/15/09, but there isn't a solution listed on that thread. Anybody know how to get my lights working? Thanks...

Dissconnect wire. Its really not needed. Its prolly a dimmer wire.

"Dissconnect wire."
Disconnect which wire, the orange one? When I disconnect it, the dash lights, right front parking light & right taillight don't work.
Right now, I've got a power wire from the ignition switch connected to it, so whenever the ignition switch is on, the dash lights, right parking light & right taillight are on, day and night. I need to find a power wire that comes from the headlight switch so those lights are switched on & off with the headlight switch like they're supposed to be.

Have you tested all of the fuses with a DMM? I am wondering if possibly the fuse is blown and the radio is somehow back feeding through orange wire. Which harness did you use for the radio?

I've not tested the fuses, but will do that.
When I initially installed the aftermarket radio, I used the factory radio harness, cut the factory plug off the harness & hardwired the aftermarket plug onto the factory wiring. There were a few extra wires on the factory harness that didn't match up with the aftermarket plug; I think they were a battery 12v, an ignition switched 12v, and the orange wire that I didn't know what was for at that time. I tested the radio, & everything seemed to work fine. We didn't know there was a problem until the next night when she drove it and her dash lights didn't work. I tested the extra wires I didn't use and found that when I supplied power to that orange wire, the dash lights, right parking light and right taillight came on, so I came up with the temporary solution to wire the orange factory harness wire to the ignition switched 12v. Now anytime the ignition is on, the dash lights, right parking light and right taillight are on, so at least she has instrument lighting.
I don't really understand that orange wire; why would it control the dash lights & right parking and taillights, when the dash lights are supposed to be controlled with the dimmer and the parking & taillights are not? And why do the left parking & taillights work correctly but the right ones do not?
