My newly licensed !6 year old daughter is driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am GT. I have tried to clean the headlamp lenses with a few aftermarket products with little to no improvement. I have made the decision to just replace the lenses and bulbs. After some research there are many options and price ranges available. any suggestions or experience with the different manufacturers and the brightest and or efficiency of the bulb selection. I don't want to spend a fortune but it is difficult to put a dollar limit on her safety. The car does contain a small aftermarket audio system. Jl w6v2 powered by a DB drive okur A7 1000.1, some Kenwood 6x9's and a Boston 5.25 coaxial set, factory tweets, a pioneer GM-6500F amp, a pioneer headunit and a stinger 4 guage wiring kit that included a 1 farad cap. Currently there are no light dimming issues. I am open to all suggestions but the lenses need replaced for sure, and her ability to see clearly at night are my main concerns. Thanks for and help, I'm sure other parents on the forum can understand my concerns, and some quick help would greatly be appreciated. I have looked at the spyder brand and that look is appealing, but which options on bulbs are the best, and does anyone know of other manufactures and your satisfaction of them. Thanks again.

Maybe original lenses? (Are they polycarbonate lenses?)
FYI - HIDs and other extreme whites/brights with "sharp cutoffs" can be a safety issue, especially on country road etc. There is a greater inability to see peripherally - ie, the wandering animal etc.
In town it's usually only children or smaller animals that get hit.

i would replace the lenses/housings and replace the bulbs with silverstars. no need to modify wiring and the light they put out is considerably better that OEM bulbs.
a properly installed alarm with an easy to avtivate panic would be a good decision too. it could protect the car/stereo and her. ------------- yuk

We restored lenses from an older 1990's G-VAN, the front Parking/Signal lamps. I sanded the lenses with 2000 WET, then clear-coated them. They look awesome.
I used a KIT I got at PepBoys for my Charger headlamps, and it worked for the most part, they are 200% better, but not crystal.
