i have one 10inch neon light and i was  wondering if i could hook  the neon light to my remote on my amp, so when i turn the amp on the light will come on to. is there any good website that i could go to or can i just hook the neon light to a toggle switch. i really don't understanding about is realysswith!

You can use the remote turn on, but you need to use a relay, or a transistor if you dont want to use a relay. I would just use a relay: go to your local auto parts store and buy a 30A auto relay. Hook the remote wire to terminal 85 or 86 on the relay (pick one) and ground to the other. Then hook a constant 12V supply to terminal 30 of the relay. Then use terminal 87 for the power to the neon light. The terminal numbers are on the bottom of the relay, there is also a diagram on the right side of this web-site.. up, up top there Basics-> Relays.

Actually, what I did is go out and buy one of those neon add-on devices that makes your neon flash in time with the music.  My neon is now basically always "on" but when the car is off and no-one is inside the neon stays off.  As soon as the stereo or engine goes on, the neon goes on (sound activated).  Frankly, this wasn't how I had originally intended to use my neon but it works great and I avoid having to use a relay or bother switching it on and off.  It also may be a theft deterant as sound will make it flash.  Just a thought......
