Hello,
My 2006 Cadillac SRX uses a 3657LLA bulb for DRL and turn signal. the lamp is driven by a two wire circuit. when driving, the bulb is lit as a DRL. turn on the turn signal, the DRL extinguishes and the turn signal flashes, returning to constant DRL after turn signal is cancelled. Thus I have amber DRL's.
I'd like to split these functions into separate circuit, and run a third wire into the bulb. My goal is to have a white DRL with an amber turn signal - like a switchback LED bulb.
The current power to the lamp, and the two new outputs I want to have are functionally shown in this picture:
OK I know what I want but I don't know how to do it. Could someone suggest a circuit design?
thanks
Mac
You say a third wire but to what?? What are you using for the white running lights??

thanks for the question. I've marked up the factory schematic maybe this will make more sense:
what I've done is cut the factory wire to the amber bulb and added this new mystery circuit.
while I'm showing the turn and DRL lamps as two seperate bulb, I was planning on using 3157 WHITE/ amber switchback LED's.
you see, when I put a switchback LED into the SRX as is, it will only illuminate the amber LED's. there is no second circuit to power the white LED's. that's what I'm looking for, a circuit to split the combined DRL/TS hot wire into separate wires.
thanks for the help everyone!
