I have installed a custom LED strip on my trailer and I would like to power running lights and Brake / blinkers to the LEDs.

Currently, the brakes and blinkers work properly and arw in sync with my truck. I have a dimming module that allows to power LEDs about 50%. I have connected the dimming module into the current LEDs (creating running lights affect) with a 10 amp diode spliced in between.
And spliced another 10 amp diode between the trucks blinker/brake power supply and LEDs....

The problem: the running lights/dimmer is overpowering the blinkers and the brake lights, as in, not allowing the on/off affect (blinker) or dim/bright affect (brakes).

I did some more research and spoke with some people and was led to the a single pole double throw relay switch. So I bought 2 of them with the thought I need one for each side. They are the 192D relay switch from NAPA.

1. Is this going to work properly?

2. Do I need two relays to hook up R/L and have running lights?

3. How do I do this?
