I am looking to add a 2nd LED Light in my rear cargo area that is activated by the tailgate switch pictured below. The tailgate switch looks to be a single wire.
Can I tap the wire from the tailgate switch to the new LED lights power wire and permanately ground the LED ground wire so the new LED light will come on when tailgate opens?
Vehicle is a 2004 Honda CRV LX.
