Hey everyone, first post on here.
Trying to figure out what switch I need for my project. I have some interior and exterior lights on my rig. I’d like them to be on one switch (on-off-on) so ether inside lights are on, or I switch and the outside lights come on. Where it gets complicated for me is I need them to run off 2 power sources. So position 1 powers outside lights and runs on battery A. Position 2 all lights are off. And position 3 powers inside lights and runs on battery B. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

A DPDT (Double pole double throw) center-off switch is what you need. It can switch two independent sources to four outputs. So using this switch for example, terminal 3 connects to battery A, terminal 4 to battery B. Terminal 1 connects to outside lights, terminal 6 to inside lights. Common wiring sense would have fuses close to the battery supply point. posted_image
