Hey all,

I just installed a radio in my 1987 Jetta S.  Now the light for the speedometer isn't working.  Everything else in the instrument cluster works, including the light for the tach.  There was a wire for the car marked "illumination" that I did not use when hooking up the radio, I just taped it off.  Would this have anything to do with my speedo light?  And if so, what should I connect it to since I don't have a connection on the radio?  I think that I might have knocked a connection loose, but I can't get the instrument panel out so I can take a look behind it.  Any suggestions???

Thanks

Okay-

I just saw some older posts about the same problem, so I know it has to do with the illumination wire.  I just need to know what to do with it in order to get the light working again.

Thanks
