I was just curious if anybody has some do's and dont's on whether or not LEDS are better for underbody than neon.  Here is a link...

I think they would be brighter, and you would be able to get a lot more effects out of them.

Almost everything they have stated in the add is accurate.

Except that the light dispersion pattern will not be as full / wide, as compared to a neon tube.

No matter how bright the LED is, even with a *defused* casings. The light spread will be very directional.

If that is not a problem, then by all means go ahead.

In terms of service life, it is almost 10 to 1 in terms of use. The only thing I can point out about the LED type tubes is that you ensure that the casing is in fact sealed.

The majority of them are only meant for indoor cabin use, even if they advertise them for both.
